Double or Quits is a fast paced and a mature story which revolves from innocence of an independent girl to the technicalities of stock market. The plots are just amazing and twists and turns are crispy. The protagonist went through certain high tides and low tides that it makes reader so involved with a constant question in mind which is “What Next?”. After Ravi Subramanian, who wrote the happenings and the mishappenings in the bank industry, Shilpa Gupta showed us the bright side and the dark side of the investment banking. The world through the eyes of an independent girl, with a gloomy past is actually very different. Her feelings, her desires, her dreams, and her fears are very well expressed by the author.
What I love about the Book
First thing I personally enjoyed was that the story has no unnecessary melodrama. Its practicality stole my heart away. It’s a story with less non required sentiments and emotions. The Protagonist is darn strong and faced everything strongly.
Second thing I like was Character sketches. There were less characters and every character has a specific role to play in the life of protagonist. The link-ups were just outstanding.
What I find a little Inappropriate
The story was complete in itself. But the last 50-60 pages were too out stretched. They were little flat. Apart from that, everything was outstanding.
The story is outstanding and everyone will enjoy it. It has good beginning, nice twists and turns and a superb ending.
Three words for the book
kudos to the :Author 🙂
stay tuned for more
