“You have to dethrone a powerful man to become the most powerful. I was itching to defeat the single most powerful person, but there wasn’t any. I was left with only one choice — to create one.”

Little does Ashwin Jamwal know that the last twenty-five years of his life have been controlled by a master manipulator, who wanted to make him the most powerful man on earth, though for a reason! Ashwin steps up to take oath as the youngest Prime Minister of India and is unknowingly thrown into a vortex of power and authority as the entire world is threatened by a faceless enemy — Hades.

The world starts to look up to Ashwin as the savior, but he was just a pawn, reared only to be sacrificed in the end.

A story of greed, lies, deceptions, manipulations and corruption, Ashvamedha is a thriller revolving around the infamous game of power in a maddening bid to seek absolute control.

Review

This book is smartly plotted political thriller. Ashwin – the male protagonist is the man with brain and willingness to change and develop the country. He is an IAS officer, eventually becomes the youngest Prime Minister of the country. The author depicted various aspects of political world and scripted about corruption as well. The beginning of the story was a bit confusing but later on it was a fast paced and beautifully described script. The story is about one’s man desire to become the most powerful person on the earth, and for that he had to dethrone someone, who was already powerful. So it was an interesting fact. Adya – the female protagonist, she was deeply in love with Ashwin. It looked like that they are not meant for each other, but they reunited and the love was pure and unconditional.

Arun was also an interesting character in the story. He was best friend of Ashwin. And they share a great bond of friendship. He helped his friend at every stage. Hades also a nasty yet interesting person of the story.  The language is really catchy and pages were actually turning themselves. The book runs like a movie in the reader’s mind. The plots were just outstanding. The twists were effective and mind boggling. I will recommend to read this book.

What I Love about the book

The story was plotted amazingly. All the characters of the story are interesting and justifying their role. Most interesting part was the desire of being powerful. The language of the book is understandable with good usage of powerful words. The elements like politics, corruption, friendship, love and power combined beautifully and flawlessly. The story becomes more appealing with the quotes of Yajur Ved.

What I find a little inappropriate

The only thing I found a little in appropriate was some initial incidents of the story were not relevant with the main plot of the story. Overall it is descried interesting.

Conclusion

Overall, this one is good to read book. Interesting description about politics. It’s truly a game of power and authority. It is a good attempt as debut novel by Author. Looking forward to her next work. A bit confusing at start, interesting in middle, and amazing at the end. A pure suspense thriller.

Be happy, keep smiling, Count your blessings!!
