Ananya Sharma, not your regular, teenage girl-next-door. Sure, she loves hanging out with her friends and engaging in whispered confidences at sleepovers, but when it comes to boys, she has competition on her mind rather than romance. At school, she is passionate about math and the sciences, and completely focussed on cracking the IIT entrance exams.
But when distraction enters her life in the form of the handsome and charming Rohit, Ananya discovers love, longing and betrayal, all at once. Finding herself pregnant at the age of seventeen, she learns that the world is a very different place once you are on its wrong side. The discovery of the fault lines in her parents’ relationship—which until then had seemed perfect to her—further breaks her.
Will Ananya be able to reverse the downward spiral that her life has plunged into and find meaning once again? To know, grab your copies from
Ananya, it is a story of a girl who is similar to other girls but different. Intelligent, smart, friendly and wants to live life to the fullest. The book is a great read but according to me the amazing part starts after she got pregnant. The way she overcame that trauma is just worth reading. So I’ll say that it’s not the downfall which is the heart of the story, but how she rose above that is the heart of the book. It’s very hard to believe that the same Author has written “double or quits” because that story deal with a fast paced investment banker and this one deals with a story of a simple girl. So, first of all Kudos to the Author. Though it’s a story of a teenager but it is very maturely written. Overall, the simplicity of the book made me fall in love with the book.
What I Love about the book
I’ll say that this book gives you a hope. A hope that no matter how dark the clouds are , the sun will shine again – One should not lose HOPE. With the utmost support from your family and your friends and with the effective communication, things will surely get better. So, for me it’s more than a fable, it’s a book of hope.
What I found little inappropriate
Nothing, completely nothing. The book is complete in itself and the author justify everything according to the need of the story.
To sum up, the book has an exciting beginning, a tragic halfway and an amazing ending.
Three words to conclude
Kudos to the Author
